Nakano’s eyes flitted to the left. “We have vast amounts of mana and can grasp magical concepts with ease,” he replied. Vessels also had very short lives, his mind added as a bitter afterthought; he decided not to voice this out loud, Vincent didn’t need to know.
“And Chaos waking up, is that common?” Vincent continued, his tone unchanging. “I gotta know if this is gonna be a reoccurring thing.”
#i was getting pretty stressed out today so seeing this on my dash was a great relief #oh yes more vincent POV #all the fruitloop brotp shipping all of it #i love the descriptions of the carnage #good gore always gets me happy #wait how did chaos break free #getting your wings spiked again vincent by nako or well chaos in this instance #the fact that chloris as the pendant is what brought nako back hurt right in the feels man #when nako just broke after seeing what he done as was whimpering #also hurt in the feels #i love how uncaring vincent acts towards nako for a sick reason #even when he he can see nako is hurt #i think its a good thing though because #i think nako needs to be brought back into the reality of the sitatuion and #not wallow in misery #and if vincent was a more considerate person not much would get dont #but hey thats just me #also yes good gore on the wings being ripped out #im kinda curious as to why vince didnt tear out the joint #but i’ll just assume that it cant be broken off since its too close to #nako’s spine or something #poor nako passing out in that pool of blood and probably vomit #oh god the fact that vincent cleaned nakos pouch and put it back on his #neck was so fluffy that it hurt #ooh yay cant wait for the next chapter #i was miffed when i started reading but the story definatley made me feel much better

1) Chaos broke free from Vincent’s hold just cos he was wriggling about so much, he just slipped free in the end.
2) Nah, Chloris is Nako’s bracelet o u o The pendant is, well, that’s to be revealed = u =
3) You’re completely right about Nako needing an uncaring person though. Vincent may be a heartless asshole sometimes, but it’s what Nako needs.
4) The joint is a bone that is attached to Nakano’s shoulder blade, sort of like a ball and socket joint. So it can’t be torn out unless you actually break the bone/file it off.
The smoke was thick in the sky, infecting the atmosphere with a blanket of darkened ash and smog. From the air, it was near impossible to see past the impenetrable haze and breathing proved to be just as difficult; toxic gas filled Vincent’s lungs with each inhale, leaving him light-headed. If he were to continue the way he did, he was sure to lose consciousness and fall to his death.
Shaking his head, he flew lower to escape the smoke, cutting through the smog and towards the flames that roared below.
